President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip around the capital, having inspected the situation at number of construction sites, development of the city and support of sanitary conditions on proper level.
At the request of the mayor of Ashgabat, the Head of the State has inspected construction site at one of intersection of main avenues where overhaul reconstruction of road with tunnel and pedestrian underpasses is carried out. On the site, the President of Turkmenistan was accompanied by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Sh. Durdiliyev who supervises industrial and construction spheres, and Head of the Administration of the capital Ya. Gylyjov.
The Vice-premier and Mayor informed the Head of the state about realization of another project of modernization of road and transport infrastructure of Ashgabat, in particular about engineering and designing solutions of building the tunnel on A. Niyazov Street.
Looking around the facility, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that active urban construction work in the capital, growth of number of vehicles require fundamentally new approaches to the formation of road and street network.
In this aspect, the tunnels represent important part of modern infrastructure, which optimizes transport flows and load on the main roads. At the same time, the Head of the State highlighted that it is necessary to make the most favourable conditions for drivers and pedestrians, especially those related to the safety of traffic, at the design stage of the projects.
Having given instructions on this account, the President of Turkmenistan noted that level of economic development and investment attractiveness of the city, quality of its architectural, social, living and ecological environment mainly depend on quality and design of transport infrastructure.
In this context, the Head of the State has focused on the necessity of development of territory surrounding new facilities, tree planting and improvement of ecology of the city, having given number of assignments on this account.

Noting that favourable and healthy ecology, order and cleanness are important conditions of life quality, the Head of the State highlighted importance of tree planting works, strict compliance of sanitary and hygiene standards.
Maintenance of roads in the city on proper level is also very important, the President said and demanded relative officials to hold the activity in this field under strict control.

The Head of the State has also reprimanded Head of Ashgabat’s Administration Ya. Gylyjov for unsatisfactory performance of his duties and loss of control of works for development of the capital, having demanded to correct the situation immediately.
