Representatives of the Ministry of Health Protection and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan took part in the XXXI special session of the Council for cooperation in health protection of the Commonwealth of Independent State, which was held in video conference format.
Members of the Council and authorised representatives from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, the CIS Executive Committee, Inter-parliamentary Assembly of the CIS members, the WHO European Regional Bureau as well as representatives of interested organizations and institutions took part in the session. Minister of Health Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Shadmanov has chaired the session.
The agenda of the session included subjects covering different aspects of cooperation of the CIS countries in conditions of new spread of coronavirus infection. Fulfilment of previous decisions related to development of draft documents in the sphere of sanitary and epidemiological wealth of the population of the CIS country members, prevention and response to emergencies of sanitary and epidemiological aspect have been analysed.
Reports presenting the practice of the CIS country members on response measures against COVID-19, provision of medical services to the patients with coronavirus infection have been listened. Mutual interest has been expressed in regular exchange of information about the situation, taken measures and their efficiency.
Next XXXII session of the CIS Council for cooperation in health protection sphere is planned to be held in Tashkent on October 12 – 13.
