The Business forum in Ulan Bator focused on the issues of developing mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and Mongolia.
The delegation of Turkmenistan, including specialists of ministries and departments of the economic and development sectors, trade and foreign economic relations, food and textile industries, health care, motor transport as well as the Turkmengallaonumleri State Association, Turkmenpagta and Turkmenhimiya State Concerns, Turkmenbashy complex of oil refineries and the Union of Industrialists and Enterpreneurs arrived in the capital of Mongolia to participate in the business meeting held with assistance of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two states.
The heads and senior specialists of 30 public and private enterprises specializing in the fields of energy, production and textile products, health care and pharmaceuticals, agro-processing and food industry, logistics, building materials production, consulting services, and others represented Mongolia at the forum.
Those speaking during the meeting emphasized the importance of the first Turkmen-Mongolian business forum aimed at enhancing trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and Mongolia.
Members of the Turkmen delegation familiarized the forum participants with the priorities of the ambitious social and economic reforms implemented in the country that promoted the dynamic paces of development of Turkmenistan and increase of the living standards of the local population.
The forum participants received detailed information about the investment policy of Turkmenistan and the existing national legislation that envisages, in particular, substantial tax, customs, visa and other benefits for investors working in the country, foreign firms and companies.
The prospects of cooperation were discussed and plans for further collaboration were specified during the bilateral meetings between representatives of ministries, departments, public and private enterprises of Turkmenistan and Mongolia held within the framework business forum. The forum participants called for widening and deepening the trade and economic relations, in particular by increasing the sales volume, import and export deliveries of environmentally friendly textiles, livestock and other agricultural products to the markets in the two countries.
Mongolian businessmen demonstrated keen interest in the possibilities of Turkmen natural gas supply through the transit and transport infrastructure of Turkmenistan-China transnational gas pipeline.
