At the Fine Arts Museum of Turkmenistan, it was opened a school of aesthetic education “Akpamyk”. Its goal is the organization of informative leisure of children and teenagers, and development in them of artistic taste and creative thinking.

For example, for familiarization of children with numerous genres and styles in art, it was planned the theme “Fairy tale and museum”. Children will have excursions over museum during which they will notice on the exposed works the fairytale characters. The exposition of the Chinese painting is especially rich in this respect. What differences in style between images of fairytale characters and real images? What differences between images of the Turkmen artists-storytellers and Chinese and European? In order to feel it better, the students of art school are offered to try to reproduce the fairytale hero in Chinese or in European style. Children should experience this or other style.

During excursions over exhibition halls, the students of art school get acquainted with works of well-known Turkmen and European masters of painting. From stories of museum experts, they learn about life and creativity of artists, about mysterious history of some exhibits.

Besides drawing and modelling lessons, the students of art school also train in interpretation of art works. Children should try to answer: what did the artist want to tell by his picture? The students of art school learn not only to see, but also to think independently as well as freely to express the assumptions, versions.

So, step by step the boys and girls open for themselves the world of beauty, which has an only typical feature - as more it is learnt as more interesting it becomes.
