With the aim to implement the principles of the healthy lifestyle in the society, promote and develop physical culture and sports, strengthen international cooperation in the sphere of health and sports, as well as to continue the initiative on holding mass physical culture, sports, cultural and health-improving events on occasion of the World Health Day, the President of Turkmenistan issued the Resolution on organizing mass physical culture and sports, cultural and health-improving actions “Health and Happiness” in our country on April 5 - May 5 each year.
According to the document, the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Sports, the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan as well as other ministries and departments, Ashgabat and Velayat Khyakimliks, public organizations should ensure the high organizational level of mass physical culture, sports, cultural and health-improving events to be held under the motto “Health and Happiness”.
