President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan made their first tour in the Caspian Sea on a new Turkmen ship built in the Russian Federation.

During his working trip to the Balkan velayat, the President of Turkmenistan took part in the ceremony of launching the new passenger ship «Rahat», which was delivered to the fleet of the «Türkmendeňizderýaýollary» Agency.

Built in the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, this high-speed passenger ship is designed for tourists and travelers who love boat trips. Favourable conditions for passengers, their comfortable sailing and recreation are created on the ship, which is 33 meters long and has a cruising range of 100 nautical miles.

During the sea voyage, the President of Turkmenistan discussed with government officials the issues of further development of the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea.

At the end of the trip, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished the captain of the ship and all the crew members success in their work.

Turkmenistan orders ships for its merchant fleet from well-known shipbuilding enterprises abroad, including in the Russian Federation.
