In the capital’s Fine Arts Museum, it was opened an exhibition of the German artists. It was organized by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany with support of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan. The exhibition consists of more than six dozen of drawings and prints of Paula Moderzon-Beker - one of the brightest representatives of the German art of the late XIX - XX centuries, and her fellow artists from small German village Worpswede near Bremen. The exhibition also presents documentary photographs depicting the life of Paula.

Canvases and etchings of early deceased artist are considered to be the most unconventional for her time, and still now, are worth of attention. She is recognized as an icon of history of the German art. The attempt of Paula to become the artist was revolutionary at that time for the German society.

Works of Paula Becker were created by strong and steady hand. Lack of academic proficiency and strong character like man attach her painting a certain rugged expressive forms. Only after her death, art critics recognized the value of her works, which have an affinity with the pictures of early Picasso.

Of course, the visitors will be interested in the works of artists from Worpswede, and still important place here is given to the creativity of Paula Moderzon-Beker.
