Issues of enhancing cooperation between the Turkmen State Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov and Kazan State Agrarian University (KGAU) were discussed during the meeting of the rectors of the two universities. This was reported by the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan.

In this regard, the parties expressed their readiness to prepare a draft Memorandum of Cooperation between higher educational institutions with a view to its further signing.

During the meeting, organized with the assistance of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Kazan), the participants exchanged views on topics relevant to both sides, in particular, the prospects for the development of economic education in the agricultural sector, the potential of countries in various sectors of agriculture - animal husbandry, agriculture, etc.

Agriculture of Tatarstan occupies one of the leading places among the regions of the Russian Federation. The leading sectors of agriculture are crop and livestock production.

Agriculture has become a high-tech industry today. This is the active use of robotics, artificial intelligence, end-to-end information technology, genetic engineering and many other modern technologies. Competent use of the latest scientific achievements allows the republic to increase the production of high-quality agricultural products and develop deep processing. Representatives of agro-science and education of Kazan State Agrarian University make a great contribution to these achievements.

Kazan State Agrarian University is one of the oldest agricultural research and educational centers in Russia, which is proud of its graduates. Among them is the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
