Continuity in the family of the master bakhshi

Everyone knows that the post-war generation in peacetime tried to achieve success in various spheres of life. One of these teenagers at that time was Nuryagdy Bayramov. He was born on August 3, 1938 in the village of Yankala, Akhal velayat. At that time this village was called "bakhshi village". Many talented bakhshis were born and raised in it, such as the virtuoso gidzhakist Chary Gurbanov, Mylly Tyachmyradov, Chary Odek, Aimammet Ashyrov. And from the very beginning this instilled in the heart of young Nuryagda a great passion for the art of music.

Byashim Meret, Nuryagda's uncle, when he worked as a gijak player of the Turkmen State Folk Musical Orchestra, was the first to teach his nephew to play the dutar. Byashim aha died in the 1948 earthquake. After graduating from a seven-year school in 1953, Nuryagdy was enrolled in a musical group under the leadership of Mylla Tachmuradov, a master-mentor. During his studies, the famous musician Tugur Berdiniyazov became a mentor to Nuryagdy Bayramov, teaching the subtle secrets of dutar possession.

Singing in front of an audience on stage has its own characteristics. For the first time Nuryagdy Bayramov performed the song "Delalat Yagshi" to the words of Makhtumkuli Praga. It is a very, very difficult task to sing and play music, and at the same time harmoniously join the sound of the gijak.

During his career, Nuryagdy Bayramov, together with the virtuoso master of gijak, laureate of the International Prize named after Makhtumkuli, People's Artist of Turkmenistan, conductor and composer Annageldi Dzhulgaev and his creative team, performed in the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as in countries such as Syria, Jordan, Sweden. Malta, Japan.

Over time, Nuryagdy Bayramov began teaching dutar as a mentor to a young talented student group of dutarists at the National Conservatory of Turkmenistan. He also taught the skill of famous bakhshis like Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Arslan Atdanov, Gulbahar Byashimova, Shadurdy Baydzhykov, Makhtymguly Magtymgulyev, Chemen Khommadovezova. In addition to them, Serdar Bayramov and Meilis Nurgeldiev learned to sing and play the dutar from a master mentor.

With great respect for art, Nuryagdy Bayramov also teaches this profession to his students, following the words of our ancestors from the two-string miraculous dutar: "Teaching is one profession, teaching is two professions." In your footsteps, Nuryagda Bayramov was followed by his younger brother, Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Rustem Bayramov, who currently works as a bakhshi in the cultural and business center of the oil and gas complex. In addition, his son Merdan Bayramov teaches young dutarists at the Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory. His grandson Serdar Bayramov is a dutar teacher at the Turkmen State Special Music School named after Danatar Ovezov, as well as Deputy Director for Academic Affairs. It is remarkable that the mastery of dutar has become a family creation.
