The film “Nejep Oglan” by director Vepa Ishangulyev was included in the competitive program of film festive «Korkut Ata Turkic World Film Festival», which will be held on 8-12 November in Istanbul, Turkey. 

Within the framework of the cinema festive the film-makers from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tatarstan and other countries of the Turkic world will present their best creative works screened in the genres of the historic and modern fantasy, as well the documentary and animation films. 

The film “Nejep Oglan”, created in the “Turkmenfilm” Association named after Oguzhan, was presented in Ashgabat in 2020, and has already grown popular among the audience. The plot is based on the ancient same-name destan about the adventures of young bakhshi, who has a magic power to recover soul by a dutar playing.

The movie “Nejep Oglan” was shoot with innovative camera with 4К resolution, making the image look brighter and more voluminous. For the realistic recapture the atmosphere of the historic period, the film crew went on long expeditions to the historical and holy places of Turkmenistan, so most of the pictures was filmed in natural conditions in Kunyaurgench, Koytendag, Lebap and Dashoguz.
