The famous Italian trumpeter Mauro Maur gave a concert in Ashgabat to the accompaniment of Turkmen Youth Orchestra

The performance was organized within the framework of the European Week, and was held in the "Turkmenistan" cinema center. The topic of the evening is the music of Italian cinematograph.

Together with Mauro Mauri, a concert attended Francesco de Kloss (upright piano) and the Youth Chamber Orchestra under direction of Rasul Klychev.

Born in Trieste, Mauro Maur being a student at the National Conservatory of Paris became the laureate of the competition for the first trumpet of the Toulouse National Orchestra. Subsequently, with the team of this orchestra, he toured the world. "His trumpet sings like a human voice," - stated the press.


In 2008, Mauro Maur was awarded the order "Merit of the Italian Republic". The musician is association with cinema. He played music for more than a hundred films. Several compositions of Mauro Maur were introduced for the Turkmen audience.

The touching soul melodies of Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota and Piero Piccioni resounded from the stage. Of course, the music of Italian composers is well known and extremely beautiful. And Mauro’s trumpet either solemnly rattled or the achingly sad or somewhat sensual narrating about human life.

The accompaniment of the pianist Francesco de Kloss was almost perfect. The Chamber Orchestra did not disappoint foreign soloist. It was put an extremely difficult task to the musicians of the Youth Chamber Orchestra to learn and reproduce in a few days ten works of various tonal nuances. Undoubtedly, it is somewhere on the verge of somewhat either possible or impossible, however, what a great experience for our musicians it was!

Besides of Italian music, the Chamber Orchestra performed two vivid Turkmen music works - "Gallop Shukur" by Nury Khalmamedov and "Dance" by Recep Rejepov. The melodies of these works sounded original and peculiar. The concert program was completed; however, the audience did not disperse. As a result, musicians played an encore several compositions.
