According to the data published in December by the press service of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics, Turkmenistan is among the TOP-10 countries in terms of imports of the neighboring republic. In the list of countries with a high share of Uzbekistan's imports in January-October 2021, Turkmenistan, with an indicator of 404.1 million US dollars, ranks seventh after Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Korea, Turkey and Germany.

For 10 months of 2021, Uzbekistan imported 35.6 thousand tons of cement from Turkmenistan, which allowed our country to become one of the five main exporters of this demanded building material. Turkmenistan is also one of the five main countries, of which Uzbekistan imported motor gasoline during this period, ranking second after Russia.

Turkmenistan is also in the TOP-10 countries for the export of Uzbekistan with an indicator of 151.5 million US dollars, closing the top ten partner countries with a high share of Uzbekistan's exports in January-October 2021. The given data on export-import indicate a positive balance of foreign trade turnover of Turkmenistan with the Republic of Uzbekistan.
