On the eve of the New Year, Ashgabat spectators, through the magical music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky to Ernst Hoffmann's ballet-tale "The Nutcracker", once again found themselves in a fairy-tale world. Why again? Because in 2019, when the State Symphony Orchestra performed The Nutcracker for the first time, Rasul Klychev said: “I want The Nutcracker to become a traditional piece in the Symphony Orchestra's New Year repertoire.”

Rasul Klychev kept his word. In the Mukam Palace, on three New Year's Eve days, children and adults will become participants in an extraordinary story that happened on the eve of Christmas in the beautiful house of Dr. Stahlbaum. This time, the American ballet film "The Nutcracker" will be broadcast, in which the role of the unenchanted prince is played by Macaulay Culkin, a well-known actor from the film "Home Alone". The little girl Marie and her brother were looking forward to their godfather, who always brought special gifts for Christmas. The godfather was the last of the guests to come and presented Marie with a rather strange toy - a soldier with a huge open mouth.

“What a terrible toy,” said my brother, “threw it on the floor and stepped on it. Marie picked up the toy and began to lull her, and the godfather's nephew brought a cradle for the Nutcracker.

At night, Marie had an amazing dream. As if the walls of the room had parted, the tree became big, very large, and all the toys on it came to life. But at this time, hordes of mice with the leader - the King of Mice, moved to the tree from all sides. The cry of frightened toys was heard. However, the brave Nutcracker appeared and gave the command "Attack!" to all the tin soldiers on the tree. A fierce battle ensued. But as soon as the Mouse King was beheaded by the brave Nutcracker, and all the mice were defeated, a miracle happened - the enchanted Nutcracker turned into a handsome prince, into the very nephew of the godfather.

It turns out that once an evil sorcerer turned the prince into an ugly toy, and his spell had to continue until the girl fell in love with the Nutcracker, and he, in turn, defeated the Mouse King.

The prince approached Masha and invited her to become the mistress of his castle. And then a fabulous holiday began, because by and large the Nutcracker is a ballet! The concert program included many dances - snowflakes, chocolates and various overseas sweets danced, flowers performed the famous Waltz of Flowers. Even the Sugar Plum Fairy herself danced with her cavalier in such a way that she overshadowed many skillful dancers with her choreography.

The talented performance of the musicians of the State Symphony Orchestra became a magical musical background for this slightly New Year's, children's and very, very touching fairy tale. The brilliant work of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky has found a worthy reproduction.

The audience greeted with deafening applause all the artists who participated in this fairy tale, which turned one of the New Year's evenings into a fabulously unforgettable one.

- Dear friends! - the main magician of the musical evening, Rasul Klychev, addressed the audience. - Dear little spectators, there are a lot of them in the hall today! You are our future audience. Without you, our success in music would not make sense. I am happy that together with you we plunged into the fabulous world of magic. Happy 2022! Health, love and good luck to all of you!
