A scientific-practical conference was held at the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi, timed to coincide with the 4-year anniversary of the adoption of the "Concept for improving the teaching of foreign languages in Turkmenistan."
The two-day conference was attended by members of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, representatives of the teaching staff and students of the organizing university and other capital universities with the study of foreign languages.
The program of the event included speeches and video presentations of the participants. They talked about the large-scale work that went on in an updated format in universities according to the action plan for the implementation of the national concept for 4 years and continues today.
It was noted that in the teaching process, an innovative methodology of teaching languages is successfully applied, based on the study of world experience in this area. As part of the work, training programs and curricula were improved at all levels of the educational process, the system of training and advanced training of teachers, the educational and methodological base in this area.
Students of the faculties of foreign languages presented informative, thematic videos to the audience. During the conference, demonstrating the high quality of national education, training of specialists, a speech was made in six languages that have the status of the official languages of the UN. Among them are English, Russian, Arabic, Spanish, Chinese, and French.
In general, during the conference, the results were summed up and the achieved results of the work done to implement the national Concept, which was productive in all directions and stages of its implementation, were announced.
As you know, the Concept for improving the teaching of foreign languages in Turkmenistan was adopted on December 22, 2017. This Concept, which initially absorbed three stages, is currently at the stage of the third one.
The work at its first stage was carried out in 2018, at the second - in 2019-2020. The goal of the third, final stage (2021-2024) is the need to create a continuous, consistent and interconnected system of teaching foreign languages in Turkmenistan.

On these New Year's Eve, at the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi, another solemn event took place - the ceremony of awarding the winners and prize-winners of state and international interuniversity Olympiads held from the beginning of the 2021-2022 academic years. The ceremony of presenting well-deserved diplomas, medals, prizes brought together students of the Institute of Languages and a number of other universities that took part in international competitions, as well as Olympiads held under the auspices of the D. Azadi National Research Institute of International Relations.
The best connoisseurs of foreign languages, who distinguished themselves in linguistic reviews, were solemnly honored in the assembly hall of the university. There was also a big festive concert dedicated to the achievements and successes of students and, of course, the upcoming New Year's holiday.
The stage performances, songs, dances and poems prepared by the students were warmly and cordially received by the assembled audience. With their performances, the guys clearly demonstrated to the guests not only good knowledge of foreign languages, but also culture, traditions and history of different peoples of the world.
