Turkmen writers held a creative meeting

Every year, on the eve of the International Day of Novruz, the Center for Free Creativity in Ashgabat hosts, which have already become a good tradition, meetings of young people with representatives of the creative intelligentsia - folk writers and poets of our country.

On March 18, the Turkmen State Publishing Service, together with the editorial office of the newspaper «Edebiýat we sungat» («Literature and Art»), organized a dialogue on the topic: «Halkyň Arkadagly zamanasynyň bahar bagtyýarlygy». The guests of the meeting were young journalists, students of the capital's universities and young talents trying their hand at writing.

Hero of Turkmenistan, poetess Gozel Shagulyeva, writer and playwright Komek Kuliyev spoke in the conference hall. The event was also attended by People's Writer of Turkmenistan Dovletgeldi Annamuradov and poet Suleyman Ilamanov.

Experienced masters of the word shared their creativity with the youth, spoke about the first steps in the profession and, of course, about the traditions of celebrating the most ancient, but eternally young spring holiday, Novruz Bayramy.

The light of Novruz inspired many classics of Turkmen poetry - Magtymguly, Kemine, Seydi, Zelili, Mataji, Katibi, Azadi and others. The offensive of Novruz is also widely reflected in Turkmen folklore. Following in the footsteps of their predecessors, modern writers and poets continue to turn to the theme of one of the most beautiful seasons in their literary works.

The meeting that took place turned out to be warm, eventful and interesting in a spring-like way. Wishing all the participants of the event success in their studies and professional activities, the speakers added that spring is a time of flowering, inspiration and development.
