The final of National Folk Festival presented a rich palette of cultural heritage held in Turkmenistan

Genre and stylistic diversity of music and song art are presented as part of the creative review with the symbolic name "Echo of continuity" ended in the administrative center of Lebap region, was a revelation and a valuable art history material for its organizers - experts of the Office of intangible national heritage under Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.


Picturesque palette of vintage wedding ceremonies were presented by the folk group from Kaahka district of Akhal region from full lyricism of maiden songs "Enejan", "Djorajan" to emotionally rich dance and song compositions "Yar-Yar", "Yaralley", "Olen", "Yarovdjan" comic song and quatrains "Degishme" and "Engedjan". Ringing tones polyphony and play ritual scenes were accompanied with accompaniment to the depot - national percussion instrument widely used in northern regions of Dashogus and Lebap. That skilful performer lives in the south of the country - Kaaka - many were not even aware of.


Varieties of genres of music and song traditions were presented by the representatives of Balkan region. Along with the typical for the region ritual dances and chants "Kushtdepdi", "Hymmyl", "Gasal", the variety of girls' songs as “Lyalye" and "Mondjuk-atdy" and original songs-precept "Nesihatlar".


The national dance "Chapac" has became the hallmark of the performing arts of Lebap region. Noteworthy is the story of its origin: in the past, when men went to battle, their wives performed a ritual dance, believing that it will give a powerful energy force to soldiers. Over time, the character of the dance evolved, and powerful emotional tension transformed into a prelude of festive movements. Currently, "Chapac" is an essential component of the wedding folklore. In the festival it was fulfilled the creative team of Sayat district.


The festival, which has become a reflection of the historical and cultural experience of the Turkmen people, its musical and aesthetic traditions, demonstrated the inextricable connection of times and generations, the underlying a mentality basis of self identification.
