The sowing of winter potatoes has recently been completed on 900 hectares of land in the Lebap velayat. In total, about 20,000 tons of spring potatoes were harvested from 1,400 hectares in the velayat this year.

The selection of high-yielding, proven varieties of potatoes adapted to local climatic conditions, the use of organic and mineral fertilizers, the timely implementation of agricultural activities - all this inspires hope that the farmers of the region will grow good winter potatoes.

Currently, farmers who plan to get 140 centners of crops from each hectare are caring for this crop in accordance with agricultural standards. 250 hectares are allocated for winter potatoes in Chardzhevsky etrap, 120 hectares in Danevsky etrap, 180 hectares in Sayat etrap, and 160 hectares in Halachsky etrap.

Specialists and farmers have confidence that the future harvest will be much larger than the previous one. Such optimism is based on their professionalism and high work capacity.
