Turkmenistan continues preparations for the opening of a new theatrical season. In the near future, the audience will have long-awaited meetings with the heroes of already beloved performances, as well as numerous theatrical premieres, which are being worked on these days.

And next weekend, the Main Academic Drama Theater named after S. Turkmenbashy the Great invites you to the performances:

27.08.2022 “Gülki agşamy” 19:00;

28.08.2022 “Ependi ýa-da gülkünç goňşy” ("Efendi or mischievous neighbor") 19:00.

Efendi or Hoja Nasreddin is one of the most famous characters in the humorous stories of the East. The performance “Ependi ýa-da gülkünç goňşy” tells about the life of an unlucky prankster who finds a bit of wit in any life situation.

The National Music and Drama Theater named after Magtymguly will show performances of:

28.08.2022: “Ýürek telwasy” (“The command of the heart”) 19:00;

29.08.2022: “Demir aýal” (“Iron lady”) 19:00.

The play “Demir aýal” was based on the play of the same name by the Uzbek playwright Sharaf Bashbekov. The iron lady is a robot that does all the household chores: cleans, cooks, does laundry and doesn't ask for anything in return. Flattered by this circumstance, the main character decides that the robot can become for him the embodiment of the female ideal. Is this true, the comedy will tell.

Performances will be shown on the stage of the State Russian Drama Theater named after Pushkin:
