The premier “The Heavenly Beauty” based on the eponymously-named book by the President of Turkmenistan, which is dedicated to the art of the Turkmen carpet-making, was staged by Urmatkan Melyayeva.

The idea to create the play belongs to the Honoured Journalist of Turkmenistan Tachgeldy Gutlyyev, who wrote the play being inspired by the philosophical and artistic analysis of the origin and development of the unique art of carpet weaving and offered it to the director - Urmatkan Melyayeva. Together with her husband - the People's Artist of Turkmenistan - Anna Mele - they started working on the new stage. At first, they doubted if the young actors in the theatre would cope with such serious material. Dramatic concept, staging and acting technique should coincide with the conceptual depth, historic proportions and stylistic imagery of the Turkmen leader’s work.

Working on the stage interpretation, Urmatkan scrupulously structured the story lines, united by the idea of the consolidating role of the spiritual heritage and respect for traditions. The second-year students of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture act in the play.

Bible stories, folk tales, and a retrospective look at the history of the unique art of carpet-weaving are harmoniously woven into the narrative outline of the play. Due to the original director's ideas, the colorful costumes and decorations, plastic picture, imaginative and conceptual cantilena, spectacular sound design, the theatrical interpretation very accurately conveys the main message of the Turkmen leader’s work “The Heavenly Beauty”: Turkmen carpets are the hand-made miracle, refined sophistication and the ornamental colour harmony of which symbolizes the talent, cultural identity and richness of the spiritual traditions of the people.
