As a result of comprehensive support

This autumn in the Dashoguz velayat, prices for grapes are low compared to previous years. One of the main reasons for this was the availability of more of it in local markets. Traditionally, prices in the region are quite affordable for many other types of berries and fruits.

It seems that the growth in production volumes in viticulture and horticulture, to a large extent, was facilitated by the comprehensive measures consistently taken by the state to comprehensively support agricultural producers, including the allocation in the prescribed manner from the special agricultural land fund created in the region to private producers of land for growing various products , including fruits and berries. It should be noted that the inhabitants of the region, from the land fund for use for a period of 99 years, only for the creation of new gardens, vineyards and mulberry plantations, in recent years, in total, about one and a half thousand hectares have been transferred.

More grapes and fruits began to be grown by rural residents and in household plots, including for the purpose of selling surplus products. Local residents regard horticulture and viticulture as a profitable agribusiness with a quick return on investment.

At the same time, they are now paying more attention to planting material, which is taken from cuttings and seedlings of plants already adapted to local weather and climatic conditions, which have proven themselves to be unpretentious, disease-resistant and have a high yield. On the basis of scientific recommendations and best practices in the care of fruit trees, the entire process of cultivating crops is being improved. The process of preserving the grown crop and further uninterrupted year-round supply of vitamin products to consumers is facilitated by the construction of modern refrigerated warehouses on the territory of the velayat, both at the expense of public and private investments.
