«The autumn jazz» is the name of the new program quartet of Suren Kyarunts to represent for Ashgabat music lovers

The performance of "The autumn leaves" by Joseph Kosma launches in the Turkmen National Conservatory. The touching and sensual sounds of the saxophone by Suren Kyarunts gave the fascinating lyrical tone to this evening.

Suren graduated of the pop faculty of the College and Conservatory of Turkmenistan, and then continued his education at the high musical school of Yerevan and its graduate course which he graduated with honors.


The bright performance of saxophonist has made his name well-known among those who are passionate about jazz: musicians, composers and fans of this complex, but extraordinarily beautiful genre. This is evidenced by winning outcome at festivals and competitions in Yerevan, Astana, and Bishkek. Today Suren Kyarunts appears in a slightly different image: he’s a young teacher of the Turkmen National Conservatoire. Two musicians in the quartet are Timur Orayev (a percussion instruments) and Igor Shevtsov (a bass-guitar) - his students. The professional pianist in the quartet is the honored worker of culture of Turkmenistan Vladimira Mkrtumov, whom is not necessary to represent: he is well-known by music lovers in Turkmenistan and far beyond its borders.

The famous works of Telonius Monk, Errol Garner, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Stevie Wonder, George Gershwin, Paul Desmond has been performed in the stage. This selection shows a good taste of music quartet and wish to be understood by listeners. To loud applause to the music tact the audience has been accompanied the work of "Jean-Pierre" of Miles Davis.


Sincere enthusiasm with a standing ovation are greeted the final part of the program - of the performance of the vivid samples of Turkmen folklore- "Bibidjan" and "Kushtdepdi" and "Lullaby" by Nury Khalmamedov from the movie "The decisive step". Notable works in jazz interpretation of Suren Kyarunts impose original sound, but have not lost the national orginality.
