French pianist Maxime Zecchini performs classical compositions in Ashgabat

The concert taken place in the Watan Cinema and Concert Centre was organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Embassy of France. Maxim was born in Paris in 1979. He received music education at the "Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique" of Lyon and then at the "Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique" of Paris. Upon completion of study, Maxime Zecchini immediately joined the active creative life, taking part in international music festivals, both in the homeland and in Italy, Germany and Austria. The pianist performed concerts all around the world, including England, China, South Korea, Japan, Mongolia, South Africa among others. From now on, his tour schedule will include concerts for the connoisseurs of piano art in Turkmenistan. Maxime Zecchini not only plays music great, but also composes music. As an eclectic musician, he good at orchestration.


The concert started with Nocturne by Frederic Chopin. The pianist performed various famous compositions, including “Fantasy” by Alkan, Charles-Valentin, “Romantic Caprice” by Pierre Sancan and “Meditation” from the opera “Thais” by Jules Massenet. The concert programme completed with the suite to the musical film - “The Umbrellas Of Cherbourg” by Michel Legrand.

Famous Turkmen tenor – Nury Nuryyev performed a song “Ayly Aksham” by Aman Agadjikov and Werther’s aria of the French opera “Werther” by Jules Massenet To the accompaniment of the French pianist.

The concert pleased not only the audience but the pianist as well, who noted that he discovered wonderful and dynamic Ashgabat and was glad to get acquainted with kind and hospitable people of the Turkmen capital - connoisseurs of classical art.
