Regular issue of quarterly popular science magazine “Miras” is published

There are preservation and popularization of national historical and cultural heritage including manuscript among topical subjects of new issues of “Miras” magazine.

The article, dedicated to the role of photo in scientific studies, present the interest for the specialists. Photos, as a heritage, are of valuable material for historians, archaeologists, architects and other. Sometime they portrayed monuments of material culture, which no longer exists. They are also used as a sample for reconstruction of original structures of historical facilities and artefacts.

One of the subjects, which always attracts the attention of researchers, is a history of Merv as ancient centre of civilization, which gave high samples of Turkmen original art, architecture, different crafts to the world. In this regards, the article by leading scientists of the Historical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan on craniological findings in Soltangala and on architectural complex of Askhabs – the unique monuments located on the territory of the State historical and cultural sanctuary “Ancient Merv”, presents the interest.


The reader also can familiarize with publication of Professor B. Ucel (Turkish Republic) under “Interrelation of cultures, people and civilizations” section. The author analyses mesnevi, which are included to “Divan” by Babur as a separate work. The material reflects new vision on creative heritage of Babur, philosophical basis and narration traditions of his works.

The article “Pottery art is a component of our cultural heritage” speaks in detail of little known facts of this craft.
