Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held the regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which considered some issues of state life and drafts of a number of documents.
Chairwoman of the Mejlis D.Gulmanova, who informed on the activity carried out by the national parliament, took the first floor.
Having expressed a deep gratitude to the head of Turkmenistan as well as to National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on behalf of deputies of the Mejlis for construction and commissioning of a modern house in the residential area "Parahat-7", the head of the parliament on behalf of new tenants assured that all efforts, knowledge and experience will be used for justification of the rendered trust and successful implementation of high goals of the Era of Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State.
With a view of development of international and inter-parliamentary relations, meetings with Ambassadors Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of the Republic of Serbia and the United States of America and the head of the Parliamentary Assembly of OSCE were held in the Mejlis.
The information on results of the International conference “The role of neutral states in strengthening of security, stability and dialogue in the OSCE region” and scientific-practical conference “The new epoch of the powerful state and development: an exemplary path of statehood, democracy, respect for universal values” was also delivered.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov drew the attention to importance of activity of the national parliament and significance of adopted acts for further successful development of branches of national economy.
Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet Kh.Geldimyradov reported on the work carried out to improve regulatory legal acts connected with development of insurance system, rendering of high-quality services in the given sphere to individuals and legal entities.
Having heard the report, the head of the state pointed out that today the great attention is given to development of this area and bringing of current acts regulating the relations in the insurance market into conformity with time realities, considering advanced world practice, and instructed the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet to explore the given issue more carefully.
Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet B.Amanov reported on the work on the regular strengthening of the material and technical basis of enterprises of the oil and gas sector.
Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov attached the attention to issues of development of the sector, including diversification of the processing sector on an innovative basis.
Then, Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet A.Yazmyradov reported on the course of seasonal field campaigns in velayats of the country.
It was informed that according to agro-technical requirements care of cotton is carried out: inter-row cultivation, vegetative irrigation, application of mineral fertilizers, weeding and thinning of shoots.
For consideration of the head of the state, the draft of the Resolution “On production of sugar beet in Turkmenistan in 2023” was submitted.
Having heard the report and having underlined necessity of conduction of qualitative seasonal agricultural campaigns and their timely completion according to terms of agro-technical standards, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed him to accelerate paces of work in wheat and cotton fields.
In addition to it, the head of the state signed the submitted Resolution, sent it online to the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet, and instructed him to keep control over fulfilment of the given document.
Further, the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet B.Annamammedov reported on preparation for cultural events planned on the occasion of Ashgabat City day, and XXII International universal exhibition dated for this significant date “White city of Ashgabat”.
In the universal exhibition 140 local and foreign companies, organisations and institutions, private entrepreneurs are expected to participate.
In commemoration of Ashgabat City Day, it is planned to carry out festive concerts, solemn meetings and creative events.
Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov drew the attention to importance of forthcoming actions in honour of the central city of the country, in which image advanced achievements of world architecture and best traditions of national architecture are harmoniously combined.
The Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet B.Atdayev reported on activity for development of trade and economic relations of Turkmenistan with foreign countries.
As the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet informed, corresponding work on preparation for holding the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian commission on economic cooperation, participation in the international exhibition of textile equipment in the city of Milan of the Italian Republic, organisation of a working trip of the delegation of Turkmenistan to the Federal Republic of Germany is conducted.
Speaking on significance of forthcoming actions in intensification of cooperation in these areas, the head of the state instructed him to provide appropriate level of preparation for them.
Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet M.Mammedova reported on the draft of the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan “On creation of the Organizing committee for holding festivities and events on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan”.
In this connection, for consideration of the head of the state the draft of the corresponding document was submitted.
Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted importance of solemn actions in honour of the main holiday of the country and having signed the submitted Resolution, sent to online to the Deputy-Chairwoman of the Cabinet and instructed her to keep control over fulfilment of the given document.
Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet N.Amannepesov reported on the course of preparation for the International scientific conference “Science, technology and innovation in the Era of Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State”, dated for Science Day and to be held on June 12-13.
Summarising the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined a great significance of perfection of sphere of science, which is a basis of progressive transformations taking place in the world.
Further, the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet reported on preparation for the regional tennis tournament among teenagers under 12 from countries of Central Asia, which will be held on June 5-9 in the tennis complex of the capital Olympic village.
Summarising the report, the head of the state underlined importance of conduction of the upcoming prestigious tournament in the Turkmen capital at the highest level taking into account its importance for further augmentation of image of sports in sovereign Turkmenistan, strengthening of traditional friendship with foreign countries and their fraternal people and gave the Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet concrete instructions.
General Director of the Transport and Communications Agency at the Cabinet of Ministers M.Chakyev reported on results of the working trip to the city of Kazan of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) for participation in the XIV International economic forum “Russia-Islamic world: KAZANFORUM 2023”.
Summarising the report and having pointed out to importance of partnership relations between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined that the visit of the Turkmen delegation to Kazan will give a new impulse to versatile cooperation of two friendly countries.
Further, in the meeting, the head of Agency warmly congratulated the head of the state on proclamation of November 26 as World Sustainable Transport Day by the resolution of the UN General Assembly.
As was marked, adoption of the Resolution in the field of transport and communications by the United Nations General Assembly speaks of broad support of transport policy and global initiatives of Turkmenistan by the world community in this area, set forward under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov - worthy continuer of international undertakings of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Further, in the online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers the floor was given to acting minister of foreign affairs V.Hajiyev, who reported on steps undertaken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on further strengthening of cooperation of Turkmenistan with the United Nations Organization and its specialized agencies.
In the given context, it was underlined that within interaction in the United Nations format our country regularly acts with creative initiatives on universal peace and stability consolidation, advancement of trustful relations and positive dialogue, promotion of fruitful partnership in various spheres, including realisation of potential of transport diplomacy.
Lately, Turkmenistan has become a venue of important large actions for cooperation in the transport-communication sector.
A clear evidence of complete support of constructive proposals of neutral Turkmenistan in the given area by the world community is adoption 6 corresponding Resolutions in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2021, 2022 and 2023 by the General Assembly of the United Nations.
So, recently, on May 16 of the current year, at the 70th plenary meeting of the 77th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations the Resolution according to which on November 26 was proclaimed November 26 as World Sustainable Transport Day, was unanimously adopted.
In this connection, warm congratulations on this great foreign policy success that became further recognition of significance of development of multilateral cooperation in the sphere of transport taking into account the ecological aspect, strengthening of sustainable system of transport-transit corridors, assistance to development of inclusive public profile infrastructure by the world community, was expressed to the President of Turkmenistan.
Throughout the report importance of and demand for initiatives on preservation of political and economic stability, strengthening of peace, advancement of culture of trust and the dialogue, balanced solution of urgent issues of international and regional agenda put forward by the President of Turkmenistan were also underlined. It was in this connection noted that on July 28, 2022 at the 97th plenary meeting of the 76th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations the Resolution on declaration of Central Asia as a zone of peace, trust and cooperation, put forward by Turkmenistan on behalf of regional states was adopted.
With a view of its realisation as the first step on May 16 of the current year in New York (USA) a high level debate of the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization «Central Asia - a zone of peace, trust and cooperation” was held. During the debate readiness of member states of the United Nations for close partnership with regional countries in the given area and also significance of the United Nations Regional Centre for preventive diplomacy for Central Asia, other international and regional structures in these processes was underlined.
At the same time, a key role of Central Asian countries, as neighbours of Afghanistan, in an intensification of international efforts to stabilise the situation in the country, to render economic and humanitarian aid to the Afghani people was marked.
During the report, it was also underlined that in the United Nations format Turkmenistan brings a powerful contribution to interaction in such priority areas, as preservation of the environment and decrease in negative consequences of climate change. Promoting attraction of attention of world community to the point in question, our country attaches a great significance to the solution of the issues connected with the Aral.
In this context, it was noted that following the results of the 79th session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), taken place on May 15-19, this year in Bangkok (Kingdom of Thailand), the Resolution initiated by Turkmenistan, concerning creation of the Special Program of the United Nations on pool of Aral sea was unanimously adopted. All this testifies to ever growing international authority of independent neutral Fatherland.
Then, addressing participants of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated that the good news has come from the United Nations Organization headquarters in New York. On May 16 at the 70th plenary meeting of the 77th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations at the initiative of Turkmenistan and with unanimous support of member states of Community of the Nations the Resolution according to which November 26 was declared as World Sustainable Transport Day was adopted.
The fact that over 67 countries acted as its co-authors, testifies to a great importance of the international document actual for entire humanity.
As known, on November 26, 2016 in Ashgabat the first Global conference of the United Nations Organization on sustainable transport was held. Therefore, the choice of date of World Sustainable Transport Day is also deeply symbolical. The head of the state underlined this regular evidence of recognition of international initiatives of Turkmenistan, which were put forward by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov by the Community of the Nations.
The Community of the Nations in the present Resolution welcomed efforts of the Government of Turkmenistan, connected with the organisation of the first Global conference of the United Nations Organization on sustainable transport and also Conference of Ministers of Transport of Landlocked Developing Countries in 2022 in Avaza and with satisfaction noted the Avaza final statement adopted at the forum in 2016 in Ashgabat.
Having underlined that adoption of the new Resolution, concerning transport-communication sphere by the General Assembly of the United Nations became one more acknowledgement of increase of international authority of our independent neutral fatherland, the President of Turkmenistan warmly congratulated members of the Government and all Turkmen people on this important international success of our country.
Summing up the meeting, the head of the state underlined that a number of urgent questions today were considered, the documents aimed at further development of branches of national economy were adopted.
Having concluded the online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants sound health, family well-being and big successes in their work for further prosperity of our sovereign fatherland.
