In a few days, the opening of the first stage of the "smart" city of Arkadag will take place - a unique urban project that embodies the most advanced urban development achievements. The first city of national importance will become a model for the whole of Turkmenistan in all respects - construction, design and environmental standards, the organization of urban space and the creation of a barrier-free environment, the work of various utilities, communications and public transport.
In particular, for the first time in Turkmenistan, environmentally friendly public transport on electric traction will be introduced here. Many state enterprises and private companies of the country took part in the implementation of the innovative smart city project. One of them is the Economic Society "Paýhas Merkezi", which since October 2022 is the official distributor in Turkmenistan of the Chinese company "JAC MOTORS" Volkswagen group (full name - Anhui Jianghuai Automotive Co., Ltd.).
By order of the Turkmenavtoulaglary Agency of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Paýhas Merkezi ES provided the first batch of 10 E-J7 electric vehicles and 5 charging stations for them with a capacity of 60 kW from JAC MOTORS.
According to the Turkmen company, this model is intended for use as a city taxi. Practical and elegant, the electric car has an attractive front design, a sleek skyline and a dynamic profile. The car was designed by the famous Italian designer Daniel Gallone, who had a hand in creating the appearance of Alfa Romeo, Lancia and Maserati.
The JAC E-J7 electric car meets all modern requirements and is equipped with a panoramic sunroof, automatically folding rear-view mirrors, a rear-view camera, cruise control, and a 10.4-inch multimedia touch screen. It has a powerful motor system with new 3 in 1 technology.
The mileage of an electric vehicle on a full charge is ≤400km. The charging station for electric vehicles with a capacity of 60 KW supplies 380V AC with a frequency of 50Hz. Galvanized steel body material with certified energy meter and residual current device equipped with 2 charging ports, which makes it possible to charge 2 cars at the same time.
