On September 11 this year, a personal exhibition of art works by the university teacher Ovezdurdy Mukhammetberdyev opened in a solemn atmosphere in the building of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The word "Revelation" was carefully printed on the front page of the invitation card sent to colleagues, friends, relatives and acquaintances by Professor, Doctor of Sociological Science Ovezdurdy Mukhammetberdyev. Viewing the drawings and paintings of the author, according to those who left their notes in the book of reviews, this is perhaps the most accurate definition (revelation), which most correctly reflects the content and meaning of his works. Such a unanimous opinion and assessment of the author's creative works is not accidental. Most of those who spoke that day, talking about the personality of O. Mukhammetberdyev and his paintings, have known the professor for a long time. Someone studied with him at school, someone is a classmate, but most of them are like-minded people on a scientific and creative path.
Opening the official ceremony, Vice-Rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan G.Yusupova also noted both the scientific and creative sides of O.Mukhammetberdyev's personality. Numerous guests of the exhibition, teachers and students of the Institute viewed the author's works with interest and enthusiasm. They lingered for a long time at landscapes about the beauty of the Turkmen nature and portrait drawings depicting our contemporaries.
During the opening ceremony of the exhibition, famous diplomats, poets, writers, artists and creative figures spoke about the creative side of O. Mukhammetberdyev's life.
The author of the exhibition himself modestly assessed his work: "Not being a professional in the fine art, I would not dare to call my drawings paintings. In them, I tried to convey with the help of paints only those few notes that sound in the depths of my soul at times so cheerfully, and sometimes a little sadly. I don't know if I succeeded...", he said about himself.
It remains to add that the author in his works managed to convey his own feelings of events, his unique emotional assessment of what he saw in everyday life.
