Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting via a digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and the khyakims of velayats to discuss issues related to development of the agricultural complex, as well as the progress of work in the regions of the country.

The floor was first given to the Akhal Velayat Khyakim R. Hojagulyev, who reported on the state of affairs in the fields of the region.

As was reported, currently, for the purpose of organized wheat sowing, agricultural machinery is effectively operated, grain growers are provided with high-quality seeds, and vegetative irrigation is carried out in already sown areas.

Along with this, measures are taken to carry out the cotton harvest on time, combine harvesters are operated at full capacity, and vehicles for transporting the harvested crop, and collection points operate uninterruptedly.

In addition, treatment of fields sown to potatoes, melons, watermelons and other crops is under way in accordance with agro-technical standards.

Information was provided on the construction pace of social and industrial infrastructure facilities, and preparation of cultural events on to the 32nd anniversary of the Homeland’s independence.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the importance of the seasonal field campaigns ongoing today, ordering to keep under constant control the sowing of wheat within the agro-technical terms, treatment operations in sown areas, and supplying farmers with high-quality seeds, as well as the organization of the cotton harvest.

Along with this, the velayat khyakim was instructed to ensure the quality of construction of facilities planned for commissioning this year.

Then Balkan Velayat Khyakim H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the state of affairs in the fields of the region.

As was reported, wheat sowing and vegetative irrigation continue in accordance with agro-technical standards, while agricultural machinery is operated at full capacity. Grain growers are provided with high-quality seeds and mineral fertilizers.

Potatoes and other crops are cared for taking into account the agro-technical requirements.

The report covered preparations for the celebrations on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the country’s independence, as well as the construction pace of facilities planned for commissioning this year as part of the National Rural Program.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the important requirement of today is to sow wheat efficiently and in accordance with agro-technical standards, supply grain growers with high-quality seed material, as well as operate agricultural machinery and equipment at full capacity during the cotton harvesting campaign, giving the khyakim a number of instructions.

Along with this, the head of state ordered to ensure high quality construction of social and industrial facilities planned for commissioning this year within the scheduled time frame under the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022–2028 and the National Rural Program.

The working meeting via digital system was continued with the report given by Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim S. Soltanmyradov on the progress of agricultural campaigns.

The report included information that wheat sowing has begun in the region in accordance with the agro-technical requirements, while machinery and equipment are effectively operated, and vegetative irrigation is also in progress. Farmers are provided with high-quality seeds and mineral fertilizers.

The velayat is preparing for celebrations on the occasion of the cotton harvest start in the velayat on September 15. Appropriate measures were taken to prepare cotton gins, collection points, combine harvesters and other equipment.

Care is taken for vegetable, watermelon and melon and other crops, as well as for rice crops, taking into account agro-technical standards.

The cotton harvest is in full swing. Cotton gins, collection points, combine harvesters and vehicles for transporting the harvest are operating uninterruptedly.

Having heard the report, and focusing on the need for high-quality and timely implementation of all seasonal agricultural work, the head of state emphasized that the main present-day requirement is to provide farmers with high quality seeds, proper care for crops and harvesting the grown cotton crop without loss. All machinery and equipment to be operated in the campaign must perform uninterruptedly. In this regard, the khyakim was given specific instructions.

Then Mary Velayat Khyakim B. Orazov reported on the pace of seasonal field work in the region.

As was reported, these days wheat is sowed in compliance with agro-technical standards. The sown areas are irrigated. At the same time, mineral fertilizers are applied to the fields being prepared for sowing. Land planning is also ongoing. Grain growers are fully supplied with seeds and mineral fertilizers.

Cotton ginning enterprises, collection points, combine harvesters and other equipment are effectively operated for the organized harvesting campaign.

In addition, in order to implement the objectives set by the President of the country to provide the population with abundant agricultural products, potato and other crops plantations, including sugar beets, are cared for in accordance with agro-technical standards.

Then Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev, who supervises the agro-industrial complex, reported on the state of affairs in the regions of the country.

As was reported, winter wheat is currently sown in the velayats and crops are irrigated. Appropriate measures are taken for the effective operation of the machinery and equipment being operated in sowing.

In addition, cotton harvesting began in the Akhal, Balkan, Leap and Mary Velayats in an organized manner. Preparations are underway in the Dashoguz Velayat for the upcoming cotton harvesting campaign.

Guided by the provisions outlined by the head of state to ensure food abundance in the country, potato and other crops plantations are treated in the velayats in accordance with agro-technical standards.

The deputy prime minister also reported that treatment of rice fields continues in the Dashoguz and Lebap Velayats, as well as sugar beet in the Mary Velayat.

Having heard the report, and emphasizing the important role of agriculture in the national economy, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered all seasonal field work to be carried out at a high level.

The head of state instructed the deputy prime minister to keep under control compliance with agro-technical standards when sowing wheat, supplying farmers with high-quality seed material, as well as the cotton harvesting campaign’s pace.

Addressing the working meeting participants, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov pointed out the need to take appropriate measures to successfully carry out seasonal agricultural work and provide farmers with irrigation water in the required volumes. Care for winter crops must also be carried out taking into account the agro-technical requirements. In this regard, specific instructions were given to the relevant leaders.

Concluding the working meeting via a digital system, the head of state wished its participants sound health and great success in their work for the wellbeing of their people and the Homeland’s prosperity.
