Kunio Mikuriya, Secretary General of the World Customs Organization, met with the Chairman of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan during his visit to Ashgabat on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.
The guest got acquainted with the activities of the customs service, applied advanced technologies, and visited the situation center of the service. The Secretary General also left a note in the commemorative book for the guests of honor.
It should be noted that over the past two years Turkmenistan has become a party to 4 customs conventions. Turkmenistan is also represented in the Career Development Programme of the World Customs Organization for 2023-2024.
Turkmenistan and the World Customs Organization positively assessed the level of interaction achieved over 30 years of cooperation.
