The delegation of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan took part in the 241st and 242nd sessions of the Permanent Technical Committee of the World Customs Organization in Brussels.

According to the website of the country's customs service, the meeting agenda included a discussion of progress in the transition to «Green Customs».

«Green Customs» is an international initiative of all countries of the world, which influences the activities of the customs institution through the evolution of their activities, promoting sustainable economic development. It aims to improve the functionality of customs services in properly monitoring environmentally sensitive goods. This program also provides for training customs personnel on this topic and conducting trainings both at the national and international levels.

The delegates took the initiative to regularly conduct coordinated training as part of the «Green Customs» initiative.
