Turkmenistan became a member of the International Anti-Corruption Academy

On November 8, 2023, in the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria, a ceremony was held to present a instrument of accession of Turkmenistan to the Agreement establishing the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) as an international organization. Representatives of Turkmenistan and Austria who took part in the ceremony exchanged views on anti-corruption activities at the international and country level, and also noted opportunities in this direction within the framework of cooperation with IACA.

The International Anti-Corruption Academy was established as an international organization in 2010. The Academy was also granted observer status to participate in the work of the UN General Assembly. The Academy carries out joint activities with the UN and its specialized agencies such as UNODC, as well as international organizations such as Interpol, OSCE, OECD.
