The Chairman of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan met with the head of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan Shahin Bagirov, who arrived in Ashgabat as part of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Azerbaijani commission on economic cooperation.

Having given a positive assessment to the current state of cooperation between the customs structures of the two countries, the parties discussed the prospects for further interaction.

Thus, in 2023, representatives of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan took part in multilateral meetings, conferences and forums organized by the State Customs Committee of the Azerbaijan Republic.

In addition, joint trainings were conducted with the participation of customs officers from the two countries as part of the Global Container Control Program of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime.

Customs partnership is also intensifying in the Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Turkey format within the framework of the Joint Advisory Group on Customs Cooperation.

Shahin Bagirov got acquainted with the structure and activities of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and made an entry in the book of honourable guests.
