25 teams representing 15 leading universities of Turkmenistan took part in the cyber security competition organized and conducted by the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan.

In accordance with the theme of the hackathon, "Technical Task - Based Development," the main task of the participants was to complete technical assignments, including the creation of secure digital services. The students also analyzed vulnerabilities of information systems and websites.

The top three positions based on the number of points were occupied by teams from the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan and the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics.

The second positions were occupied by students of the International University of Humanities and Development, the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, the Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Great S. Turkmenbashi Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan.

The top three were rounded off by representatives of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas, the Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan, the Magtymguly Turkmen State University and the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction.

As it is known, the digital economy is one of the priority directions at the current stage of our country's development. Currently, the State Program for the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025 has been approved and is being consistently implemented.

Information security is an important part of the digital economy. Therefore, specialists in this field are necessary and in demand both in government structures and commercial companies. And this importance will only increase every year.

In turn, the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan pays great attention to the development of digital technologies and training of qualified personnel in the field of cyber security. Conducting such competitions provides an excellent opportunity for students to demonstrate and reinforce their skills in practice.

As a result of the hackathon, students gained valuable experience in solving practical computer security tasks, developed professional and teamwork skills.
