Results of 14 subject Olympiads among students of the country's universities have been summed up in Turkmenistan

In Turkmenistan, there have been announced the results of the annual subject Olympiads among students of higher educational institutions of the country, held with the support of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

Students from all 26 universities of Turkmenistan took part in the subject competitions held from December 14 to 16. The Olympiads were organized in the main academic disciplines of higher education programs. Specifically, student Olympiads were held in 14 disciplines: history of Turkmenistan, Turkmen, Russian and English languages, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, economics, modern computer technologies, engineering graphics, theoretical mechanics, strength of materials and ecology.

In total, 83 winners were announced based on the overall results of all competitions. It is worth noting that Magtymguly Turkmen State University became the leader in terms of the number of winners, with its students winning 16 first places in the subject Olympiads.

The State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan also distinguished itself by the number of second prizes in competitions. The students of this institute won 21 second places. In general, 167 silver medalists were determined based on the results of the Olympiads.

210 third-place prizes were awarded to the participants of the competitions. The most significant result in the third place category was shown by 6 universities: Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov, International University of Oil and Gas named after Y. Kakayev, Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, Turkmen Agricultural Institute, and Institute of Engineering, Technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan. Each of these higher educational institutions had 14-15 third places in their students' achievements.

The winners and medalists of the subject Olympiads were awarded diplomas of the corresponding degrees. Honorary certificates were presented to university lecturers for their excellent training of students who won prize places in the Olympiads.

The subject Olympiads were conducted with the aim of monitoring the quality of students' preparation and their level of knowledge, identifying the most talented and gifted students, stimulating and developing the interest of youth in further studying natural, exact and humanitarian sciences, scientific research activities in various fields, as well as expanding the interaction between universities in the field of science and education, including through information and communication technologies.
