The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan is organizing a lecture for high school students - members of the School of Young Diplomats of the university and participants in the «Young Messengers of Peace» project.

A lecture for schoolchildren will be given by a teacher from the Department of History of Turkmenistan at the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly Toyly Hommyyev. The event will take place at the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 5th of January this year at 15:00. School students from the country's velayats will be able to join the meeting remotely; the link for participation is posted on the website of the IIR Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country in the Announcements section.

The lesson will be devoted to the topic of the upcoming fifth game of the qualifying round of the third season of the career-oriented project «Young Messengers of the Peace» - «International relations and foreign policy of the Qajar state in the 18th – first quarter of the 19th centuries». The lecture will help prepare participants for the next game of the project, which will take place at the Higher School of Diplomacy on the 17th of January of this year. During the lesson, schoolchildren will become acquainted with interesting facts and events in the history of the Qajar state and expand their knowledge on the topic.

Thematic literature recommended by the project organizing committee will also help participants prepare for the competition, a wide list of which is posted on the above-mentioned website of the institute.

Let us recall that the content of the project, carried out by the IIR of the country’s MFA and the School of Young Diplomats of the university for students in grades 9-11, covers different periods of the history of the Turkmen people.

In honor of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the greatest poet and philosopher of the East, Magtymguly Pyragy, the third season of the project for the 2023-2024 academic year is held under the general slogan «The Teaching of the Great Magtymguly Pyragy is a national torch of universal human values». Based on this, all games of the season also include tasks dedicated to the life and literary heritage of the brilliant creator.

As you know, on the occasion of the celebration of Magtymguly’s anniversary, the coming year 2024 will be held in Turkmenistan under the motto «Magtymguly Pyragy’s Fount of Mind».
