The Investment Program of Turkmenistan for 2024 provides for the implementation of a number of large-scale projects

Turkmenistan has developed the Investment Program of the country for the year 2024, which includes the implementation of a number of large-scale projects. Deputy Prime Minister B. Annamammedov, who is in charge of the construction industry, reported this during a videoconference meeting of the Government.

According to him, as per the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan, a project for the Investment Program for the year 2024 has been developed in collaboration with the relevant ministries, departments and local authorities of velayats, as well as the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag. It envisions the implementation of important and large-scale projects, including the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline of international and regional significance, a new airport in Balkan velayat, a combined power plant with a capacity of 1574 MW, an international high-speed highway "Ashgabat-Turkmenabat" and a bridge across the Garabogazkol Bay. There will also be continued the second phase of construction of Arkadag, the first "smart" city in the country and the Central Asian region.

In order to improve the living conditions of the population, large volumes of investments will be directed towards the construction of social facilities, including residential buildings, healthcare institutions, secondary schools and kindergartens, as well as roads, water, gas, energy and communication systems, and wastewater treatment facilities. In this context, the Deputy Prime Minister presented to the President the draft Resolution "On the Approval of the Investment Program of Turkmenistan for 2024" for consideration.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the Investment Program for 2024 includes comprehensive measures aimed at developing industries, establishing new enterprises, further strengthening food security and ensuring social protection of the population.

In order to successfully implement the practical steps outlined in the Investment Program for the current year, the head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to review the presented project once again.
