At the meeting between the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan M. Gurdov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan Ali Mojtaba Ruzbehani, issues of further improving trade and economic relations and expanding areas of mutual cooperation between the two countries were discussed.

During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on holding regular meetings of Turkmen-Iranian groups on economic cooperation, organizing events among entrepreneurs in border regions, and jointly organizing Turkmen-Iran exhibitions and fairs.

Among the opportunities to develop business ties and promote the export products of Turkmen entrepreneurs, the Iranian Ambassador named participation in the international exhibition ExpoIran-2024, which will be held in Tehran from the 27th of April to 1st of May. This is the sixth edition of the inter-industry exhibition of Iran's export opportunities, which is an effective business platform for direct contact between manufacturers and exporters from regional countries.

The exhibition will present various industries, services and products. Among them are mining and petrochemicals, telecommunications and mechanics, agriculture and livestock, education and tourism, financial, legal and transport services, food, automobiles, electrical and electronics, hand-made and machine-made carpets, household appliances, textiles, leather and clothing, medical and laboratory equipment, sanitary products.
