Employees of the library branch named after Durdy Gylych of the Centralized Library System of Culture Management of Ashgabat held a meeting on the topic «Zenan zeminiň zynaty» at the Ashgabat Wedding Celebration Centre «Bagt köşgi».

The meeting participants discussed the role of women in the family and society, national traditions of respectful treatment of girls and women, and reverence for the mother as a shrine. 

The participants in the conversation recalled how the immortal poetry of Magtymguly glorified the beauty and tenderness of Turkmen brides, the good manners and excellent manners of women who keep the hearth. Turkmen women are great creators who created and carried through the centuries the unique art of hand-made carpet weaving and national embroidery, which to this day adorns the bride’s wedding dress.

As it was emphasized at the meeting, in the modern epoch, national traditions are enriched with new content. Today, Turkmen women have great opportunities to study, work and create, create happy families and raise children.
