Prospects for the development of the digital platform "e-Mekdep" were discussed

The Innovation and Information Center of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan held a consultative meeting on the implementation of the unified digital platform "e-Mekdep" in the country’s schools.

Representatives of the Main Department of Education of Ashgabat, principals and deputy principals of schools in the capital were invited to participate in the dialogue.

Chary Hanmuhammedov, the Director of the Innovation and Information Center, briefed the meeting participants on the decisions taken at the last meeting of the State Committee on Cyber Security, and discussed key projects of digital transformation in education in Turkmenistan.

Currently, a pilot version of the digital platform "e-Mekdep" has been implemented in many schools in Ashgabat, which is already being used by teachers, schoolchildren and their parents.

This platform is the latest and secure system that simplifies the work of teachers through the automation of document flow in educational institutions, including an "Electronic Journal" and an "Electronic Student Diary" accessible to parents online.

At the meeting, education representatives shared their experience of using the digital platform "e-Mekdep" in schools, informed parents about using the "Electronic Diary" for effective monitoring of their child's academic performance, and discussed the advantages and details of platform enhancements.

In the future, there is a consideration for the implementation of an enhanced mobile application "e-Mekdep" for mobile devices.
