The coming spring is a time of awakening of nature, favourite holidays and inspiration. This is the opinion of the public organization «Ýaş tebigatçy» («Young Naturalist») of Turkmenistan, which announced the start of the photo competition «Messengers of Spring through the Lens of Young Naturalists». The competition is aimed at attracting the attention of the younger generation to the beauty and diversity of the nature of Turkmenistan, developing a caring attitude towards it, increasing knowledge about the first signs of spring, developing observation skills, and stimulating a creative approach to the study of natural phenomena.
Children and youth aged from 7 to 18 are invited to participate in the competition. Each person can submit no more than one photograph, which can be either colour or black and white. At the same time, the photographs must be of good quality, without Photoshop or other editors, and taken in Turkmenistan in 2024. A mandatory requirement for photographic works is that they must be copyrighted and not violate the copyrights of others. The organizers of the competition reserve the right to use photographs of participants in their information materials.
To take part in the photo competition, you must photograph the first spring flowers, birds, and other signs of spring from a window, in the courtyard of a house/school, at a bird feeder, in nature (thawed patches, swelling buds, the murmuring of streams). Then publish the pictures on Instagram stories/reels/post, and also follow @yashtebigatchy, @mirzoev.sergey and tag #Messengers of Spring or #BaharBuşlukçylary.
Applications for participation in the photo competition «Messengers of Spring through the Lens of Young Naturalists» are open from the 4th of March to 15th of April, 2024. Its results will be summed up on the 20th of April, 2024. The main prize is a photo session from the professional photography studio ms studio. And all participants in the photo competition will receive a certificate of participation.
