At the International University of Humanities and Development (IUHD) IV Open International Mathematical Olympiad takes place among students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and abroad (OMOUS-2024).
This year more than half a thousand people came to the Olympics talented mathematicians from leading universities in different countries peace. In a deeply friendly, welcoming and warm atmosphere, a meeting of participants was organized in the Turkmen university and the opening ceremony of the Olympiad, held on March 4.
As the organizers noted, this Olympiad is not just competition is a platform for expansion and strengthening friendly relations, knowledge sharing and building strong ties between representatives of the world academic communities.
The main mission of OMOUS-2024 is to unite students and teachers of universities around the world to create a favorable an environment in which the exchange of scientific and practical knowledge will become a catalyst for overall growth, development and mutual understanding.
The Olympiad at the Turkmen university continues its work at a high organizational level. The official languages of the mathematical competition are Turkmen and English.
Olympiad participants from Russia, Uzbekistan, China, Bulgaria, Spain, Indonesia and other countries demonstrate their knowledge of mathematics in individual and team competitions.
In the individual competition, students perform in categories A and B. The first is intended for students specializing in mathematics and computer science at universities, the second unites students of other fields of study. The team members are students of different specialties and universities, which, according to the organizers, will contribute to the development of interuniversity cooperation and communication. There are four students in each of the teams.
The ceremony of announcing the results and awarding the winners of the Olympiad will take place at the capital University on March 8, International Women's Day, which will give the event special significance and solemnity.
Let's add that the Open Mathematical Olympiad among University Students (Open Mathematical Olympiad for University Students (OMOUS)) The International University of Humanities and Development has been successfully and fruitfully practicing for the fourth year in a row.
The international competition allows to assess the level of students' training in the subject, identify the brightest, most capable and talented participants, as well as stimulate the interest of young people in the study of exact sciences, conducting scientific research in this direction.
During the Olympiad, cooperation in the field of science and education and at the same time friendly relations have significantly expanded between universities of Turkmenistan and abroad, and joint positive results of cooperation have been achieved.
