The third round of the 32nd Turkmenistan Football Championship among the clubs of the top league concluded with the match between "Ashgabat" and "Merv".

The game was held in Babarap gengeshlik of Geokdepe etrap of Akhal velayat and ended with a victory for "Ashgabat" - 1:0. The fatal mistake for the visiting team came in the second minute of injury time in the first half, when Nurgeldi Astanov, goalkeeper of "Merv", let the ball slip out of his hands after a shot from the right flank, and Shatlyk Gurbanov, who was the first to get there, scored the winning goal.

After this victory, Said Seyidov's team extended their unbeaten streak to three games, moving up to second place in the tournament table with 7 points, while "Merv", suffering their second consecutive defeat, remained in sixth position with 3 points.

In their next match, "Ashgabat" will play away against "Shagadam" on March 29, while "Merv" will host the capital's team "Kopetdag" on the same day.

It is worth noting that "Akhal" is currently leading the championship with 9 points after three games. "Arkadag" is in third place with 6 points after two matches.

In terms of top scorers, Altymyrat Annadurdyev ("Arkadag") and Yazgylych Gurbanov ("Akhal") are sharing the lead with 3 goals each. Alibek Abdyrakhmanov ("Akhal"), Dovran Berdiyev ("Nebitchi") and Didar Durdyev ("Arkadag") have 2 goals each.
