An event on the theme «Kitap hazynanyň dürler dänesi, Magtymguly Pyragynyň şygyr ummany» was held at the State Library of the State Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan, organized by the departments of scientific information, reference and patent and technical literature.
The conference participants said that the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of «Magtymguly Fragi» clearly highlighted the versatility of the creative personality of the great poet - the founder of Turkmen classical literature and language, an unsurpassed master of artistic expression, a humanist philosopher and patriot. The poetry of «Magtymguly Fragi» sounds for the Turkmen people as a fiery echo of the past, the light of the future, the language of the people, a song of unity, and serves as an unquenchable spiritual beacon for centuries.
The ocean of his poetry and the wise thoughts contained in it are today becoming available in many countries of the world, emphasizing the planetary significance of the creative heritage of the Turkmen classical poet. It expresses appeals of universal value to peace, unity, humanity, moral purity, courage and beauty that touch the human soul.
Speakers at the event noted the creation of ample opportunities for studying and popularizing the literary heritage of «Magtymguly Fragi», including through international cooperation. In this regard, the importance of the new book of selected works of the poet «Magtymguly», published in three languages and which has already gained interest and popularity among readers, was emphasized. Its publication became another evidence of the enormous attention paid in Turkmenistan to national spiritual values and their popularization in the world.
