On the eve of the Day of Culture and Art Workers and the poetry of Magtymguly Fragi, a literary evening entitled «Medeniýet-ynsan köňlüniň nury» («Culture is the light of the human soul») was held in the State Library of the State Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan.

Famous figures of culture and art were invited to the event. Speakers at the literary evening spoke about events held in the country's cultural sphere, about the achievements of creative masters in the year of «The Fount of the Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi», as well as about preparations for the Day of Workers of Culture and Art and the Poetry of Magtymguly Fragi, which will be widely celebrated in the near future. As the speakers emphasized, all conditions and opportunities are being created in Turkmenistan for the development of culture and various genres of art, popularization of the material and spiritual values of the Turkmen people in the world.

The Culture Week, which the city of Arkadag will host this year, will be timed to coincide with the Day of Culture and Art Workers and the poetry of Magtymguly Fragi. Various creative events will be organized within its framework, with special importance being given to events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding classical poet and philosopher of the East Magtymguly Fragi.
