The events of the past week once again demonstrated the success of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's strategy to transform our Homeland into one of the world's powerful states, where the most favorable conditions are ensured for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign partners, realizing the intellectual and spiritual potential of society, and improving the well-being of the native people.

On June 24, the head of state held a digital working meeting to review the progress of seasonal field work in the velayats.

The President of Turkmenistan emphasized the important role of the agricultural sector in strengthening food abundance in the country and instructed to keep the timing of wheat harvesting under control, as well as compliance with agricultural technology standards in caring for cotton and other crops.

On June 25, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, who arrived in Ashgabat leading his country's delegation to participate in the "Turkmenistan-UAE" business forum.

The meeting discussed issues of political dialogue and cooperation within the UN framework, increasing bilateral trade, cooperation in the fuel and energy complex, renewable energy, and the development of international transport corridors.

On the same day, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri to exchange views on a number of topical issues.

On June 25, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for Industries and Production of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

During the meeting, the constructive nature of political and diplomatic dialogue was noted and issues of cooperation within international organizations were discussed, as well as prospects of partnership in industry, energy and transport.

Special attention was paid to the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India transnational gas pipeline, as well as power transmission lines and fiber-optic communication along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan route, as an important factor for sustainable socio-economic development of the entire region.

Aspects of expanding bilateral partnership were discussed during the meeting between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Federal Minister of Industries and Production of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Rana Tanveer Hussain.

On June 26, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Türkiye Yaşar Güler.

The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan and the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Türkiye exchanged views on the prospects of multifaceted cooperation, including in defense and military spheres.

Issues of further cooperation development in key economic sectors, including fuel and energy complex, transport and communications, as well as defense, were discussed during meetings held the same day between the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Türkiye and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and with the Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense of Turkmenistan.

On June 27, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Baek Jung-Wan, head of Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd.

The head of state and his guest discussed promising areas of cooperation, including gas and chemical industries, transport, high technologies and investments. Special emphasis was placed on the possibilities of South Korean companies' participation in the second stage of construction of the unique city of Arkadag and the implementation of the Ashgabat City megaproject.

At the meeting held on the same day with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the head of the largest South Korean company emphasized that he was very pleased to visit our country on the eve of celebrating the anniversary of the opening of the "smart" city, which has become a kind of business card of modern, rapidly developing Turkmenistan.

Continuing this review, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital system on June 28, which considered a number of issues of public life.

These included the preparation of new laws demanded by the times, maintaining sustainable development of the national economy, technical re-equipment of fuel and energy complex institutions, modernization of the material and technical base of the electric power industry and the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

After hearing a report on the draft State Budget for the coming year, prepared taking into account the analysis of preliminary calculations of the financial and economic activities of ministries and line departments, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the proposal to increase the salaries of employees of enterprises and institutions, pensions and state benefits of citizens, scholarships for students and trainees by 10 percent from January 1, 2025, instructing to take appropriate measures in this direction.

The head of state ordered to properly prepare for the 18th meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Uzbek Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation and the next meeting of the Turkmen-Uzbek Business Council, scheduled for July 15-16 this year in Tashkent. At the same time, emphasis was placed on the need for an organized national exposition of products and goods "Made in Turkmenistan".

Proposals concerning preparation for the forum "Trade, Investment and Business Opportunities in Turkmenistan", scheduled for November 7-8 this year in Abu Dhabi (UAE), were presented for the President's consideration.

Information was provided about the main events and openings of social and cultural facilities planned for July, as well as about preparation for the competition of innovative projects "Digital Solution - 2024", the results of which are planned to be summarized within the framework of the International Exhibition "Türkmentel - 2024".

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, noting the special role of science in the development of the national economy, ordered to carry out appropriate work on the implementation of the presented project "Procedure for the development, implementation and financing of state scientific and technical programs".

The head of state also approved the proposals of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to enhance international cooperation in the field of climate change, giving appropriate instructions.

Signing the Resolution "On the construction of buildings and structures" related to the second stage of development of the "smart" city, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the National Leader of the Turkmen people, all Turkmen citizens and members of the Government on the anniversary of the opening of Arkadag city.

Last week, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the capital and visited the Ruhabat production complex for bakery products of the State Association "Türkmengallaönümleri", located in the suburbs of Ashgabat, where he held a working meeting with the participation of relevant leaders.

A new workshop for processing and selecting clean and high-quality wheat seeds has started operating at the modern grain processing enterprise. The latest photo-separator installed here is capable of cleaning 18 tons of grain per hour.

The further intensive development of the agricultural sector on a scientific basis became the main topic of the working meeting held at the enterprise with the participation of relevant leaders.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with Tatsuya Watanabe, Senior Advisor on Strategic Issues of the Japanese company "Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd.", and Kenji Sanada, Executive Director of this company.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Doctor Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the capital and familiarized himself with the progress of construction of medical institutions and projects of new healthcare system facilities.

Currently, the construction of the International Rehabilitation Center, International Scientific and Clinical Center of Physiology, International Scientific and Clinical Center of Oncology, Dental Center, and International Pediatric Center continues at an intensive pace.

Hero-Arkadag, after familiarizing himself with the projects of several medical institutions to be built in velayats and the capital, emphasized issues such as applying national architectural traditions and advanced experience in construction, implementing innovative technologies, and improving the professional level of medical personnel.

Moreover, it was reported that the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship has, since its establishment, helped restore the health of more than 400 children and sent humanitarian aid to children in foreign countries affected by natural disasters.

As a sign of deep gratitude for valuable advice from an experienced doctor, and on the occasion of the first anniversary of the opening of Arkadag city, a carpet with the Foundation's symbol was presented as a gift to the National Leader of the Turkmen people on behalf of doctors and healthcare workers.

On the same day, Hero-Arkadag visited the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the new city, where he familiarized himself with the ongoing work of caring for the horses, communicated with the horse Khanbek, and went horseback riding.

On June 29, during telephone conversations, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was congratulated on his birthday by the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko.

The prospects for development of productive interstate cooperation in a wide range of areas were also discussed.

Among other events was a business forum "Turkmenistan-United Arab Emirates" held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The agenda included issues of expanding partnership in the economic, investment and industrial sectors, as well as in the field of renewable energy sources.

The heads of leading UAE companies confirmed the desire of major Emirati businesses to strengthen and increase their presence in the Turkmen market.

As part of the forum, meetings were held between entrepreneurs from the two countries to exchange experience and enhance productive relations.

Preparations continue for the upcoming July 7 elections of Mejlis deputies in constituencies No. 1 "Garaşsyzlyk", No. 2 "Bitaraplyk", and No. 6 "Köpetdag" of Ashgabat city to replace the early retired deputies.

Early voting began at all polling stations on June 27, 2024. In accordance with the Electoral Code of Turkmenistan, citizens who will be on business trips, vacations or absent for other reasons on July 7 can vote 10 days before the main election day.

Last week, the capital hosted the grand opening of the "Dokmaçylar" Cultural Center of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan, built on the initiative of Hero-Arkadag and designed to popularize the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Turkmen people.

June 29 marked one year since the opening of the "smart" city of Arkadag with modern comprehensive infrastructure, created on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Celebratory events, a festive conference and a concert were held on this occasion.

During this time, the city, which has a special legal status as a city of national significance, has become not only a convenient and comfortable place for people to live but also one of the centers of education, culture, science, sports and broad international cooperation. It also houses the headquarters of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship, which conducts extensive invaluable work.

On this day, a joyful atmosphere reigned in the city, with music and songs sounded everywhere, and numerous residents who received comfortable apartments and houses celebrated their housewarming.

During the conference held in the city hakimlik building, news was announced that scientists from the "Space-Earth" society, who study celestial bodies, have named one of the stars "Arkadag" in honor of the first anniversary of the opening of Arkadag city and as a symbol of pride for this city.

It was decided to transfer the corresponding Certificate, as well as a telescope and photographs taken with it, to the Magtymguly Turkmen State University.

Thus, the events of the past week became a vivid demonstration of the enormous creative, economic and humanitarian potential of the Fatherland, which is confirmed by each new day of the period of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state - a time of rapid advancement of the country to new heights of well-being and prosperity under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
