In order to introduce Magtymguly's poetry and to reveal the creative abilities of the younger generation, the staff of the State Children's Library named after Bazar Amanov, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan held a creative meeting for schoolchildren at the «Bagtyýar nesiller» health centre, entitled «Ýaş nesiller we döredijilik dünýäsi».
The children were told about the national and universal significance of Magtymguly's poetic heritage, using his poems as examples, and the importance of educating the younger generation in the spirit of honesty, moral purity, courage and justice was revealed.
In turn, the children performed songs and recited poems of their own composition. Of particular interest was the mobile book exhibition organized for children.
In addition, in honour of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly's birth, librarians from one of the branches of the Ashgabat City Department of Culture held a conversation about the work of the classic poet with schoolchildren vacationing at the «Ýaşlyk» Children's Health Centre in Gokdere.
The event, entitled «Altyn zamanada, ajap döwürde wysal boldy Pyragynyň arzuwy», talked about the versatility of the creative heritage of the great son of the Turkmen people, who dedicated his entire life to serving the Motherland and the people. The poet's dreams of the unity of the Turkmen people and their independent, prosperous state have become a reality in our days, and his immortal poetry lives on today in the hearts of Turkmens and sounds in many languages of the world.
