The Mary Velayat Library hosted an event called «Arzuwlan zamanaň geldi, Pyragy»! dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the classical poet Magtymguly Fragi. The meeting, organized by the Mary City Council of the Youth Organization named after Magtymguly and the regional library, was attended by activists of the organization and library staff.
The speakers at the meeting said that the international celebration of the anniversary of the great son of the Turkmen people, an outstanding philosopher of the East, gives rise to pride in the hearts of Turkmen people for the glorious past and happy present of the Motherland, which Magtymguly Fragi dreamed of in his immortal works. They also noted that the work of the great classical poet is a precious part of the multifaceted cultural heritage of the people, the study and promotion of which is of great importance in the world.
Speaking about the poetic and philosophical world of Magtymguly, the speakers emphasized his influence on the mentality, moral values of the people and all spheres of national culture, especially noting the huge educational potential of his works for the younger generation of the country.
