The troupe of Dashoguz State Music and Drama Theater named after Nurmuhammet Andalib is preparing bright premieres for the upcoming theater season. Following a well-established tradition within the troupe, a new theatrical gift awaits the youngest spectators. Renowned director Guvanch Baymedov is currently working on the production of the fairy tale "Aýperi," based on the work of playwright Aymamet Ishangulyyev.
Much has been said about the educational power of fairy tales. They help instill in children the foundations of ethics, morality and the belief in the power of good, which always triumphs over evil through overcoming difficulties and struggle. Director Guvanch Baymedov, who consistently seeks to utilize the theater's great potential in fostering an active life stance and universal values in society, is steadily enriching his troupe's repertoire with works on this theme, including fairy tales by local writers and playwrights. He has already staged beloved works for local children and adults, such as "Jadyly söz" based on the work of playwright Aymamet Ishangulyyev, and the fairy tale "Azaşan owlajyk" by writer Hemra Shirov.
As always, Guvanch Baymedov aims to intrigue his audience right from the start of the performance. It is no coincidence that he chose a ball of yarn as the symbol of the narrative. The yarn gradually unravels, and children become increasingly immersed in the fairy-tale world, where wizards live alongside people, where good battles evil, and honesty, loyalty, and diligence are rewarded. The new work by the director echoes many well-known fairy tales and tells the story of a hardworking little orphan named Ayperi, who, due to her elderly father's trust, has to endure many hardships from her stepmother and lazy, neglectful stepsisters. However, no matter what trials she faces, she always remains kind, honest and fair. Then, a miracle enters the girl's life in the form of a magical fairy.
Looking ahead, we can say that the ending of this fairy tale, as it should be, is happy. The new work features well-known in velayat bakhshi G. Gaipova and theater actors A. Berdiyeva, N. Khallakova, M. Arazdurdyeva and O. Orazmedov. The vibrant decorations are prepared by artist K. Babayev, and the colorful musical accompaniment by M. Nuryev.
Another premiere is set to debut on the stage of the Dashoguz State Music and Drama Theater named after Nurmuhammet Andalib by Veyis Rakhmanov, a recent graduate of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture. The budding director has been entrusted with staging the play "Şygyr diwany" based on the work of Hemra Shirov.
To maintain the intrigue for the audience, we will briefly say that the new play narrates the years of life and study of the great Magtymguly, and tells how his immortal works found recognition and love in different parts of the world.
