The Nurmuhammet Andalib State Music and Drama Theater and the Akdepe etrap of Dashoguz velayat hosted the Dashoguz velayat round of the creative contest "Magtymguly, sözlär tili türkmeniň", organized by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan among the country's folk theaters in honor of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi.
Theatre and creative teams presented performances to the jury and the public based on legends and stories from the literary works of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, and the books of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, "Youth is the Support of the Motherland," "Anev - Culture from the Depths of Millennia."
Stage productions "Magtymguly Pyragy – köňülleriň çyragy," "Ykbally bendäniň paýy gözel sen," "Dürler hazynasy," and "Hywada" illuminate the historical period when the classic of Turkmen literature lived and worked. They tell about Magtymguly's youth in the village of Gerkez, his time spent at the Kukeltash madrasah in Bukhara, and his studies at the Shirgazi madrasah in Khiva.
The creative troupe of the Culture Department of Andalib city in Akdepe etrap turned to the work of playwright Gadam Kakabayev, staging the play "Magtymguly Pyragy" in five acts.
Magtymguly appears as a jeweler in the performance by the creative team of the rural House of Culture of Adalat gengeshlik in Shavat etrap. By revealing the circumstances of the poet's life, the play conveys an important message to the audience about the significance of Turkmen national heritage and art in educating the younger generation.
Theatre teams from Kunyaurgench etrap and the city of Gubadag performed plays based on the story "Kitap" by Turkmen writer Nurmyrat Sarykhanov.
As a result of the velayat round, the creative troupes of the Culture Departments of the city of Andalib in Akdepe etrap, the etrap named after Saparmyrat Turkmenbashi, and Akdepe etrap took first, second and third places, respectively.
All participants were awarded Certificates of Honor issued by the Culture Department of Dashoguz velayat and received valuable prizes from public organizations.
