Turkmen musicians arrive in Moscow to participate in concert dedicated to 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi

Musicians from Turkmenistan, who arrived in Moscow to take part in the concert «He Truly Became the Mouth of Turkmenistan» in honor of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi, have begun rehearsals.

The delegation includes representatives of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after M. Kuliyeva, the Mary Special Music School named after Yolaman Hummayev, the Turkmen State Special Music School named after Danatar Ovezov at the TNC, as well as children's art schools №. 3 and №. 4 of the city of Ashgabat. Among them are Gozel Annahanova, Aylar Saparmyradova, Aybolek Muhyyeva, Leyla Babayeva, Bekdurdy Cherkezov, Seyran Kasimi, Elman Nasyrov and Annaoraz Dovletov. The first rehearsals with the delegation of Turkmen cultural figures were held by conductor Yevgeniy Volkov, as well as composer and art director of the Moscow International Arts Festival «Sounds of Dutar» named after Nury Halmammedov Mammet Huseynov.

During the visit, the musicians presented the organizers of the event with souvenirs with Turkmen flavour and visited the Helikon-Opera theatre with an excursion.

The concert «Truly he became the mouth of Turkmenistan» will be held on the 21st of August in the Rachmaninov Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky as part of the XVIII International Music Festival «Gathering Friends».

The musical program, consisting of vocal and instrumental compositions based on the poems of Magtymguly Fragi, as well as works dedicated to the poet, will be accompanied by an art exhibition. The concert will be preceded by a lecture «The Legacy of Magtymguly and Contemporary Musical Art».

The event was organized with the support of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation and the leadership of the Moscow State Conservatory in cooperation with the art director of the Moscow International Festival «Sounds of Dutar» named after Nury Halmammedov Mammet Huseynov.
