Recently, in the Republic of Türkiye, the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) collections of poems by Magtymguly Fragi were prepared for publication in Turkish.
This is another confirmation of the successful implementation under the wise leadership of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov of the initiatives put forward by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag on the development of effective cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.
In the year of “The Fount of the Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi”, events dedicated to the anniversary of the great thinker are held in all corners of the country and abroad. Their main goal is to further promote the popularization of the literary heritage of Magtymguly, deepen scientific research in this area, and attract the attention of the international scientific and literary community to the poetic and philosophical world of the Turkmen classic.
As is known, 2024 has been declared as the “Year of the Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World – Magtymguly Fragi”, and the ancient city of Anau – the cultural capital of the Turkic world. This is further evidence of recognition of the efforts and enormous cultural potential of Turkmenistan as a state that actively implements international humanitarian initiatives.
In the era of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state, Fragi’s poems, having sounded in a new way, have become a symbol of the goodwill of the Turkmen people in strengthening international cooperation. The creative heritage of the great master of words is not only an invaluable property of the nation, but also an integral part of the treasury of world culture.
Despite the passing centuries, Magtymguly’s works have not lost their significance, being very popular outside of Turkmenistan, as they clearly express such national principles as love for the Homeland, peacefulness, good neighborliness, and fraternity. The poet glorified the best qualities of a person in his poems – nobility, loyalty, spiritual and moral purity, mercy, honesty, hard work.
The creative world of the outstanding thinker and philosopher is rich and multifaceted. The life of the Turkmen in the 18th century, historical and political events, the unity of the people, boundless love for their land, its nature – all this was reflected in the poetry of the master.
His poems, having a great influence on the development of Turkmen and Turkic literature, became a unique creative school for subsequent generations of writers.

Along with this, special issues of the TüRKSOÝ and Business Turk magazines dedicated to Turkmenistan, including the 300th anniversary of the birth of the poet and thinker, and the announcement of the ancient city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024, have been prepared. This is the result of the effective work carried out, aimed at familiarizing the international community with the national culture and literary heritage of the Turkmen.
The presented publications will facilitate the popularization of the works of the classical poet Magtymguly Fragi and the ancient history of the Turkmen people in the world, strengthening fruitful humanitarian dialogue, friendly relations, which is an important condition for the development of a culture of peace and trust on Earth.
